Wow! We were notified today by Alex's coach that he was selected as the MHSAA Division 2 defender of the year for the State of Michigan!!! No one from Mason has ever won this award, and his coach said in the discussions it was a very brief conversation as everyone agreed with choosing him. It is so great to see all his hard work get recognized, even though that is not why he does it. His teammates exploded when they brought him in the room and announced it. What an honor!
