New Years Eve bowling

Our annual New Years Eve bowling was once again a fun time.  The Palmers and Housers tore it up and enjoyed a fun evening.

Alex gets his first indoor game

After the week 1 fiasco of the other team not showing up, Alex's team got their first game today and made the most of it. They won 9-1. It is pretty impossible to get good photos shooting from behind the glass, but still fun to watch. It was great seeing him playing the sport he loves.

Christmas for the TBird

I am finally able to do something with the TBird.  I have some fun upgrades for it that will be installed this spring.  I had to order a replacement intake for it as these are prone to cracking, and after 22 years mine finally did. So I upgraded it to a Ford Performance Intake. Also, I will be replacing the open 3.27 rear gears with a Ford Racing Performance Parts rear diff with a 3.73 limited slip gear set.  This also made me get a 3.5 inch aluminum driveshaft to manage the extra RPM's it will be turning. Can't wait for the spring!

Getting close to getting our front yard back!

It has been just over a month now since we dropped the trees, and the front yard is almost clear. Only a couple large pieces left that need to be cut and moved and the yard will only have some brush and sticks left. We have been blessed with warm weather to let me keep cutting and splitting. It has been a ton of work.

December football

Alex had some friends over today and since it was in the mid 40's they played some football. Hard to believe it is December 26th!

Palmer Christmas

Christmas afternoon was spent at my brothers house. We spent the afternoon putting together Lego's and other buildable items, playing with the toys we got the kids, and playing a little with my bro's new toy, a Polaris Ranger!

Christmas morning

Christmas morning once again went way too fast. The kids had a great time, and it is always great seeing the smiles and the kids laughing and playing. Funny how Christmas changes as I age. All I care about is spending time with family and making them happy. Keeping the real meaning of the season can sometime be hard, but it is still possible!

Christmas cookies with the Greathouses

Went over to the Greathouses tonight to decorate cookies and watch a movie.  We had a great time hanging out with friends and made some awesome cookies.

Bowling with the Housers

We decided to go bowling Saturday night, and invited the Housers to join us.  As we always do, had a great time with them bowling with the kids.

About done for the year

It has taken a lot of time and effort to clean up these trees, but finally getting close to getting our yard back. The largest sections of the trunks have been cut up and split!

Cookie Decorating

Got a little behind but the other night we finally got around to decorating cookies!  Grammy made her sugar cookies and we decorated some, and of course ate some!

A little irritated

Well, Alex and I left Traverse City late Saturday night so we could go to his first indoor soccer game. However, East Lansing wasn't as worried, apparently. They did not show up so they just held a practice.  Too bad we didn't know that ahead of time and stay up at the Great Wolf Lodge with the rest of the family!
