Halloween

The little kids had their parade at elementary school this afternoon, and then Indiana Jones, a punk rocker and R2D2 went trick or treating. Olivia was at a party so she wasn't with us, and I think this may be R2D2's last Halloween. But it was a fun night with friends!

Our new family member

We got the kids a puppy for Christmas, yes, a little early, but we got a good deal on her and she is an awesome dog. Very playful and loves the kids. She will be tons of fun!

Alex's fall soccer ends with a win!

The boys ended their fall season with a win against DeWitt today, finishing 3-4-1.  They got better as the season went along, and considering they were playing older kids they did very well. So proud of Alex for playing against kids as much as three years older than him, and not only holding his ground, but playing well. This kid is fun to watch.

Olivia bowls in fun tournament

A couple weeks ago the Mason High School bowling coach asked Olivia to bowl in a fun adult/kid tournament. She bowled a 395 series and had fun. It was nice to be able to watch her bowl and not have to get up early on a Saturday!

Pumpkin carving with the Greathouses

Friday night we did our annual pumpkin carving with the Greathouses. Of course we had fun hanging out and carving. Always fun to see what the kids come up with, and how many pumpkins the adults have to finish!

Olivia gets nominated student of the month

Well, Olivia wasn't happy with 'just' being named to the Junior National Honor Society earlier this month, so she got Student of The Month, too!  Way to go, Liv!



First win!

The boys broke through today against Jackson getting their first win! Fun to watch them finally get that win, even though they did well during their tournament, it was nice to get one during their regular league season. Playing the older boys has taken a toll, but they have proved mentally and physically capable of playing older boys.

Almost!

The boys played the same team they lost to last night and were with them the whole game, losing 3-4.  Alex had a goal and an assist, and everyone played so hard. It was a fun game to watch.

Alex gets to play under lights

Alex's soccer team got to play both on turf and under the lights tonight. They fell to Grand Ledge but played hard. This was an all 8th grade team so considering that they did very well.

Olivia gets inducted into National Junior Honor Society

Tonight Olivia was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society for the Mason chapter. So proud of her!
