Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2010. We went to Amanda's folks Christmas Eve and spent Christmas Day at our house and had my parents and brother and his wife over. Not as chaotic as we thought, all in all pretty civilized!

I got these Lego cars for the kids and I made the ones on the right and they made the ones on the left, Alex is on top, then Livy, then Emma. Not too shaby...

Christmas Cookies

Tonight my folks and my brother and sister-in-law were over to decorate cookies. It was chaos as usual. Lots of sugar is always a good thing late at night for kids. Oh well, Christmas is almost upon us!

Julie's Graduation

Well, Julie graduated from Eastern Michigan Sunday! Hard work does pay off. A big congrats goes out to her and all that helped her achieve this. Something to be proud of. Excellent work, Jules.

So long Van!!

Well, Mandy wanted a new van bad enough she crashed it in to someone who pulled out in front of her. :) Everyone was fine but the van didn't live through it. So the week before Christmas I am van shopping! So a quick thank you to the van that we bought in 2004 (the top photo) and used for transportation, for hauling everything from drywall & plywood & flooring while building to racing around MIS at 90mph with the kids. Well done Ford, maybe we'll get another one!

Huckleberry Railroad Christmas Train

OK, we braved the winter storm warning and saw probably 20 cars and a couple semis in the ditch to go to Flint for the Christmas train. Amanda stayed home with Izzy which was good, because it got down to 15 degrees and windy. Not to mention the half foot of snow! But it was fun and as always the kids loved it. Took a while to get home but the kids have a snow day tomorrow so they can sleep in. Lucky them!

Emma's 2nd grade Christmas Pageant

I'm not sure it was Christmas or a Wheres Waldo skit, but it was fun. Emma was excited and I tok her to Subway afterwards. Apparently that made it a perfect outing...

Decorating the tree

While Amanda went to Ikea with a friend the kids and I got the tree up and put the lights on. We also had to put the train up for Alex. Izzy seemed impressed too. Sunday afternoon we hung the ornaments while Izzy was napping. Looks like were getting ready for the holidays.
