Varsity Bulldogs end regular season with a W

 Tonight the boys finished their regular season with a win over Lansing Eastern 5-0. It was good to end the season on a high note, and even though they did not win their conference, they finished in second at 3-1. 

Abby's Bulldogs take it to Jackson

 Abby and her Bulldogs bounced back from their week 1 loss and having their game cancelled last week and played outstanding against Jackson, winning 5-0. They looked very good, they were aggressive and made plays. Abby was everywhere!

Bulldogs bested by Parma

 Our last Division I team on the schedule handed us a 0-2 defeat. With only 1 game now left on the schedule in the regular season the boys need to win it and get in shape for the postseason. 

Bulldogs mercy Fowlerville

 The boys were firing on all cylinders tonight and beat Fowlerville 8-0. The game was called with almost 27 minutes to play, so a short night!

Contacts!

 Izzy got her contacts today! She got them in good and struggled just a bit to get them out but did great for her first time!

No moral victories, but......

 After getting beat pretty good Thursday by DeWitt the boys played extremely good against the defending Division I champs, Okemos, tonight. The lost 1-3 but they were right with them all game. A couple different bounces and it could have been a much different result. Proud of them for not letting that defeat get them down and coming back and putting up a fight against one of the best teams in the state.

DeWitt gives the Bulldogs a hard loss

 A very tough loss tonight against DeWitt. We came out and played amazing, taking a 2-1 lead halfway through the first half. They scored two on us to make it 2-3 at halftime. The second half was a different story, with them putting it in the net 5 times. 

Bulldogs get a W against Haslett

 The boys played hard tonight and were rewarded with a win over Haslett 3-0. I think it was good for everyone to get this done as we have DeWitt and State Champ Okemos up this week!

Abby opens her soccer season

 Abby started her CASL season today. They got moved up to the top division and played a Grand Ledge team that has not lost in 3 years. They got beat 0-4 but they did play hard, they were just outmatched by them. We'll get another shot at them later!

Liv starts her bowling league for the last time

 When we signed up Olivia for bowling back in 2015 we had no idea she would love it so much! She has come such a long way. It will be fun watching her one last season.

Downed by Grand Ledge

 Tonight was rough. Our leading scorer could not play and we lost one of our starters for the season with a broken foot. We dropped the game 1-2. Hopefully the boys can recover from losing one of their best players.

A tough loss to Williamston

 Tonight the boys looked flat from almost the get go. The first 15 minutes they had several shots on goal and looked really good, and then after that they just could not get much going. They ended up losing 0-1. Was hoping all the travel to play better teams would toughen them up for when they played their conference opponents but tonight they looked tired. They have played lots of games in a short time, hopefully they can recover and play hard now that their 'real' season is starting.

A fun Labor Day...sort of

 Since we were in Traverse City over the weekend today (Labor Day) was spent doing chores and getting ready for the week. I was able to paint our fence in the backyard to protect it. But the gallon I bought ran out with about 9 boards left! I had to run into Menards to get another gallon to finish the outside wall. It does look better. Then other chores like mowing and changing the oil in the van. That became very fun when afterwards I backed up and saw a trail of oil! The gasket on the filter had a split in it. At least it didn't cause damage to the van, just painted the driveway with about 2 quarts of oil.

We stayed with Uncle Rich while Alex was at the soccer tournament in Traverse City. It was so good to see everyone in Kalkaska. It has been way too long since we have been there.

 

 

A ride in a Willy's!

 Dean took me for a ride in his 1951 Willys Jeep! It was very cool. Rode very well, and it was just a blast to ride around in.
