Almost done with soccer

I am bummed this is the last game I will get to watch Abby this fall(she plays the same time as Alex next week so I have to miss it) but it was a great game to go to. She played so hard, and the girls would have tied if it were not for a very strange call with minutes left giving Holt a penalty kick. I have enjoyed watching her get better and more aggressive, and cannot wait for next spring! Alex's team won today, making them 4-0 with two games left this fall.

A fun evening

The plan was for friends to come over and carve pumpkins, but only a few of the kids felt like doing that. So we pretty much just hung out with the Greathouses and Julie and her kids, which was fine. A fun evening and we got one pumpkin out of it!

One team done

Alex's alternate team finished up their season today at 4-2(one of the losses was against his primary team). They beat Grand Ledge 3-0. He still has three games left on his primary team.

Much better today!

Today the boys did much better against the Haslett team they lost to yesterday. They played more like themselves and beat them 7-1. Alex had two goals and an assist. Much more fun when they play like I know they can!

A cold, tough day of soccer

It was a little chilly today but the kids played hard in their games. Abby played well but their team lost 2-0, and Alex's alternate team was beat 1-0 by Haslett. They get another crack at them tomorrow as his primary team has the weekend off.

Leaf Rakers!

It's that time of year! Usually I mow the leaves and mulch them up but the kids wanted to make a big pile to throw Roxy in. Unfortunately I was working when they did that, but they told me she liked it. I'm not so sure...

Another W for Mason U15 soccer

The boys took down Hillsdale this morning 4-0 and stayed unbeaten. Alex had a great game scoring once and having the assist on the other goals. He was really getting things going on offense today!

Fun day of soccer

Today we went to watch Abby play in Spring Arbor and then went to watch Alex play another night game in Grand Ledge. Abby is improving so much every game, being aggressive and controlling the ball more. She played through a cramp today so proud of her for giving it her all. Alex's team won and he scored a goal, they played a mediocre first half but then played much better in the second. It was fun listening to the other team's parents talk about his leg and speed.
