2021 League Champs!

Alex's first year as a Varsity player has gone pretty well! They ended 4-0-1 in their league and won the regular season title outright! I wondered how he would do as a freshman starting on varsity, but he and his other freshman teammates have more than held their own against older talent. So proud of Alex and his teammates!

The Dodge Brothers goes home

While at the car show in Detroit I had to drive the car over to Hamtramck to the site of where Dodge Main had been and where the car had been built nearly 100 years ago. The landscape has changed, GM bought and razed the Dodge plant in 1980, but this is where the car was produced. Wish the plant was still here, but it was still very cool to drive the car around Detroit and where it was built.

The Dodge Brothers goes to Ford

Months ago I applied for a spot at a car show at the Ford Piquette Ave Plant in Detroit. It's the first purpose built Ford Motor Company factory and where the first Model T's were built before moving production to Highland Park. Lots of Ford history here. So it was cool to have the car displayed with several other historic cars, most of which were in beautiful condition. Had great weather and a great time!

Bulldogs beat Parma 3-1

Alex had a great game today against Parma and the boys won 3-1 for Senior Night. Finally a non-rain game!

A new high bowling game for Olivia

This morning Olivia started the day with bowling a great game and series. She bowled a new career high of 204 and a 492 series. She also got two separate Turkeys so made my dad pay up for $40!

Mason soccer still undefeated in league play

Another cold rainy night of soccer for the second night in a row, and another win! This was a 7-2 win over Fowlerville. They are now 3-0-1 in league play. They are looking better and better!

Abby starts her fall soccer season

Abby started her fall soccer season tonight against Holt. It was a very chilly game even for late September! It was good seeing her out there again after the summer break.

Okemos is too much for Bulldogs

The boys played against a very tough Okemos team last night(ranked 5th in the State) and played very well against them, but lost 4-0. They were just outmatched and didn't get very many scoring opportunities. Now they mainly play teams in their division so hopefully they have gotten the chance to get the kinks out and play some good soccer!

A tough loss for Mason Soccer

A tough loss tonight to DeWitt 1-2. In the first half a 'Phantom Hand Ball' call against us negated a goal which would have tied the game 1-1. I got a couple shots of it and you can clearly see the only hand on the ball is DeWitt's goalie. Obviously there is a reason that center ref has not advanced to a higher level than high school. The boys tried hard and almost pulled it out, but a PK with under a minute left sealed it for DeWitt.

Taking a break with an auto tycoon

This afternoon I needed a break from work and relaxed a few minutes at Durant Park in downtown. The park was donated by William Durant, founder of General Motors. It was perfect weather to just sit and listen to the city.
