Finally a snow day!

The kids finally got their first snow day for this school year! I even got Emma out on her Simplicity tractor to help clear the drive. We had Charlie over to help the girls have fun!

JV States Team Competition

After a great day yesterday the girls followed it up by making the cut of the final 16 schools in the State JV bowling tournament. They finished 5th in the seeding but barely lost out by 12 pins in the round of 16. Mason has never taken a team to JV States but they gave a great showing. Proud of Olivia and her team!

Olivia bowls great at JV States!

Today we were in Sterling Heights for the JV States singles tournament, tomorrow is the team event. Olivia bowled a 153, 134 and 185 and came in 1 pin short of making match play, meaning she came in 33rd place out of 120 bowlers! She really did well, so proud of her! All the girls played well, with two of her teammates advancing(one of whom was the girl 1 pin ahead of her in 32nd!). It was a fun day!

A well deserved fourth place

Today the JV girls were in a tournament with varsity teams, and more than held their own! They came in fourth place, even though they were the only JV team there. The varsity took home first place so Mason was well represented! Livy had a great day, bowling a 141, 159 and 124.

Alex starts indoor soccer

Alex started their indoor soccer session today to warm up before spring soccer kicks in. They got beat up a little bit but he scored their only goal. They need to use these games to get back to where they left off last fall. Still fun to watch him out there doing his thing.

Izzy's Saturn V rocket Valentines Day box

Izzy wanted to make something fun for her Valentine's Day box at school and wanted a Saturn V!  So we made this, hopefully it makes it through the day!

Progress on the Bird - rear end is done!

Seriously getting excited here!  Last night Garrett and I got the new driveshaft, pumpkin and brakes on. The driveshaft(mainly hidden by the gas tank) is balanced to 10,000rpm(a bit overkill but the stock unit was garbage), the new pumpkin has a limited slip with 3.73 gears in it(vs the old unit with an open 3.27) and then new rear calipers/rotors/pads. They were toast. Now on to the intake!

More snow, but no snow day yet!

Izzy helped me clear the driveway again, this time with the plow on the Sovereign. She loves helping with this and does such a good job! The kids at least had a half day due to conferences, but they are still wishing for their first snow day!

Mason JV beats Charlotte!

The Mason JV girls beat Charlotte's JV Boys in a match today. These girls continue to keep playing good and beating other JV teams, boys or girls! Liv did good and helped them win.

New speakers!

Since my old speakers needed to be repaired and it was just going to be more than they were worth I got some new ones! Got a pair of Klipsch tower speakers, and just in time for the release of Ford vs Ferrari!  And did it sound good!

Finally the TBird gets attention!!

Today my friend Garrett and I got the TBird on the lift and started some work on it. I can't wait to get the parts I have saved for a while installed. Will make the car a lot more fun to drive!

Izzy helps move some snow

This morning Izzy helped me clear the driveway with Emma's Simplicity 738. Haven't had much snow this winter so it was the first time she has helped me this year!

Axe throwing night out!

Last night we went out with a fun group for an adult night with axe throwing! Us, my brother and wife, the Greathouse brothers and spouses and the Housers had a great time. The axe throwing was surprisingly not as hard as I thought it was going to be!

Olivia Winter Fest

Last night Olivia went to the Mason High School Winter Fest dance. Afterwards she and friends went bowling until 1am!  She said she had fun, which is what it is all about. She is so beautiful!
