Finally another soccer game for Abby!

 After a three week break Abby finally got back out on the pitch! They played St Johns to a 1-1 tie today. They have 2 games next weekend to close out the season, hopefully they can finish strong!

Helping a neighbor

 Our neighbor asked for some help with their lawn so I thought it would be fun for the kids to do it. It only took them about 8 passes to get their front lawn mowed since the three tractors together mow an 8.5 foot pass each time!

Another high game for Olivia!

 Olivia increased her career high bowling score to 206 this morning! She also got another 500 series in the process. She is starting to get good and warmed up for the start of the season in about a month!

Done for the season

 Alex's first season of varsity soccer has come to an end. Unfortunately they lost tonight to Haslett 1-3. Alex was never subbed out. I am extremely proud of him for being a big contributor to the team, playing in every game and starting in all but a couple as a freshman. He always played hard and was fun to watch. Hopefully he got some good experience and learned a lot for next year!

Olivia's first 500 series!

 Recently Olivia has been so close to bowling her first 500 series and this afternoon she did it! And not just barely, either. Can't wait for the season to start!

Country Mill

 Made a quick trip to the Country Mill this afternoon and met up with my brother and family and mom and dad. Donuts and cider!!

Abby's Bulldogs fall to Grand Ledge

 This afternoon Abby's team looked a little off, they were trying hard but just couldn't get it together like they did last week. They fell to Grand Ledge 1-4, but Abby played hard and they will do better after they have a whopping three week break!

A great bowling morning!

 This morning Olivia put together a couple great series! She started bowling a 491 series(163 average) and then followed that up with a 496 series(165 average)! She looked really good. Here are a couple videos of some of her strikes.

An unusual loss

 Last night we played Dewitt to finish off the CAAC tournament. Alex told us before the game that they would not be playing their 'normal' game as we might play this team in Districts starting next week and we wanted to make sure they didn't get a good game plan for that. So the lineup was shuffled and we went into halftime tied 1-1. After that he was playing some of the boys that don't normally get alot of time, we subbed out our goalie for a JV goalie, and a couple JV guys they are calling up got some time. We lost 1-4 but no one seemed too concerned about it.

Okemos gets us again

 Last night we played Okemos in the CAAC Gold Cup semi-final game. Not sure how we got put in a group of four teams including a division 1 top 5 ranked in the State team but we did! Came out flat and you can't do that against a team like this. Down 3-0 at the half we came out much better in the second half and played with them 2-2. We will face DeWitt tomorrow for third place.

Abby's soccer team gets first win!

 Abby's socceer team got their first win for the fall session today against Haslett. They won 3-0! They are now 1-1-1 in their three games. Abby was fun to watch and she and her team played very well!

 Alex got to be a fill in AR at Abby's soccer game today. His friend was a ref and they were one short. Was fun seeing them both on the same field!
