A little friend lost

Our cat is always bringing mice up to our door that she finds and 'plays' with, killing them. Sunday morning we found a very tiny mouse that was still alive. He was very small, his eyes not even open. But the girls took him in and tried to keep him warm and comfy. They tried feeding him milk from a dropper and he made it until yesterday morning. The girls were heartbroken that he didn't make it. I love how sweet they are and their hearts are so big. So we made him a little box that they decorated and buried him last night. Hopefully he felt loved in his few days.

Horace gets a new exhaust

Horace, Emma's van, needed a new exhaust so Garrett and I put one on. And she now carries our signatures around with her forever!

The Bird is beautiful!

After waiting and saving for 4 years the TBird is finally out of the body shop. The hood had faded badly, the roof had faded and started to peel, and the trim around the windshield and rear glass had cracked and chipped off. But after 3 weeks in the body shop she looks almost as good as new! My dad even chipped in with an early birthday present to do a little extra. The car looks beautiful!

Last day of pool watching

Yesterday afternoon we got one more pool hang out day at our friends pool while they are out of town. It was fun watching their pool for them, we got to use it quite a bit! With not really being able to go anywhere this summer it was nice little escape, only 1.3 miles from our house!

The Bird is getting closer

Not going as fast as I would like(of course) but the hood and roof are slowly getting done. It's been there a week so hopefully not too much longer before it comes home!

A fun 4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July. We hung out at a friends pool almost all day since we are in what is shaping up to be a record heatwave. Later we went to Pat and Kristina's to watch The Great Outdoors outside and then light off fireworks. We even got to see a gorgeous moon as a finale to the day.

A little shade

To add more fun to this year we have about a 10 day period with temps above 88. So the girls and Charlie set up a little tent to hang out in. I think I already have gotten my moneys worth out of the swing!
