Santa Letters and Huckleberry Railroad

This weekend we mailed our letters to Santa and went to Huckleberry Railroad. Alex was so excited about the train, he loved every minute of it. It was so much fun seeing the kids have a good time, even though it was freezing. But it was a fun family activity with my brother and Jackie, mom and dad, and us. It's always good weather for a steam train ride.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday we had my folks and my brother and his wife over for Turkey Day. Lots of good food and the best pie on earth from a place in DeWitt. Friday we decided to get our Christmas tree, and even though it was cold we braved the elements and went and cut one down. We returned home and decorated the tree and watched Elf and had pizza. Saturday my aunt and cousins & kids came out to the house to visit for a while and we went to Mandy's folks in the afternoon. Since I missed Ryan and Barb's wedding watching my sick kids it was nice for me to see everyone since it had been a while. Sunday we went to church and then out to eat with my aunt/cousins/kids again and had a good time. It was a fairly busy but very fun weekend. Now, the Christmas holiday season has begun........

Christmas Spirit and First Snow

Sunday we started our extended "Christmas Holiday". We went to Keans in Mason where they had reindeer and popcorn and of course, Jolly Old St Nick himself. The kids had fun seeing Rudolf and Santa, then we came home and played in the little snow we got that actually stuck. Then we watched the movie Elf and made cookies. It was a fun Sunday night. We even had the Pine tree candle lit so it smelled of Christmas. I can't wait for the Holidays to come. But first we have Thanksgiving coming, with lots of food and football. We can't get ahead ourselves and skip that one.

Emma's 6th Birthday & Gramee's Puppy

Well, we had two fun events Saturday. Emma's 6th Birthday and our introduction to a new member of the family. My mom bought a baby girl chocolate lab. She is so cute. The kids loved her. She behaved very well her fist time at our place. Alex loved rolling on the floor with her and getting puppy kisses. You can tell Emma is my girl, with a Tony Stewart car and a Lionel Toy Story car as gifts. Don't worry, she also loved her Hannah Montana gifts and coat and clothes and stuff. I can't believe my baby is 6.......

Emma and Olivia's pictures

We got Emma one of those Kid Tuff Fisher Price digital cameras for her birthday. Her and Olivia used it a ton and these are some of the photos they took. I was a little down with the quality but at least we get to see the world through their eyes. Some fun pictures of the floor I didn't bother including. Fun pictures though.

Emma-Alex Joint Birthday Party

Well, I have gotten lazy. These are photos from Emma & Alex's joint birthday party with Mandy's side of the family. It looked a little like Christmas with all the stuff. We gave Livy a couple small gifts so she wouldn't feel left out. Plus she was getting over bronchitis and pinkeye, so my little girl needed a little cheering up. Emma got a camera from us to which I will be posting pictures next. It was a very fun afternoon.
