Izzy and I get a tractor wagon

Today, Izzy and I went just north of Grand Rapids to pick up this very cool wagon to be pulled by the tractors.  It is the wrong color, but this guy made it by hand and it will be perfect for the show!

Olivia has a great bowling day

Olivia bowled a career high 167 in her first game yesterday morning, on her way to a career best 387 series!  She gotten better and better.  Her first year she averaged 81, last year 94 and this year she is at 109 with two weeks left shooting for a 110 average!

What to do when no school

The kids got a little bored today with no school, so they washed the salt off my car, made cute snowmen and played Snowball Baseball!

Basketball season is over

The boys lost in their tournament today so technically the basketball season is now over, even though they do have a tournament they are doing in two weeks that isn't part of the season. Alex played hard and very good, making all the shots he took, getting rebounds and looking very good out there.

Week 2 of gymnastics

It is hard to get photos of the girls since they have the parents sitting away from the kids, but I did get these of the girls this morning.  It amazes me how without fear they just jump up and do this stuff! Love watching them.

Snowstorm easily dealt with

We got about 8 inches of snow in the past day and a half and Alex and Izzy have helped take care of it. So far the Simplicity's are keeping our drive open!

Izzy and Abby start gymnastics

Izzy and Abby started a gymnastics class today and did awesome.  I had gone in to sign them up for the next session but they said they could jump in and finish the final few weeks of the current session, so we did that and the teacher was very impressed with what they already knew. Izzy even got a ribbon for how well she did.  Love watching them do this and have fun doing it.

Alex at an MSU soccer clinic

Alex got to attend a soccer clinic at MSU this afternoon and loved it.  Lots of good instruction and competition, plus it was just good to see him out playing soccer again, which really is his favorite sport. He had a blast. An MSU soccer player didn't care for his jersey so he taped over the name with one he preferred. They were really good with the kids. He has another one in two weeks and he is already looking forward to it.

A loss to Holt ends the Bulldogs season at 6-3

Alex had the first bucket of the game and they played hard but Holt pulled away at the end to beat the Bulldogs. It was a good season at 6-3, and they have two tournaments to play in so not the end of basketball quite yet.
