Spring flooring

Our friends Pat and Kristina put an addition on their house last year and in so doing they redid the flooring on their main level. They gave us their old hardwood floors and this weekend I finally got around to installing it. It was being stored in our garage and I need the space for the cars to come home now that it is getting nice! Got it almost completely done this weekend, just the trim and a little by the door left. The girls love it.

New bike!

I think the last time I got a new bike I was in high school. I have been trying to burn some weight off so I went out and got a new bike. The one I was using was too small, and I dropped my time from 30 minutes to 25 minutes to do 6 miles! Excited to keep going, this will help me lose that Covid-weight I gained!

An early end to bowling

Unfortunately Olivia's bowling season ended about a week early. Monday, while she was bowling as a fill-in for Olivet boys JV(and getting the second highest game for them) she started complaining about pain in her hand/wrist. After having to miss practice Tuesday because she couldn't even hold the ball the doctor found a little bone splint right by her thumb on her right hand. Doc said it will work it's way out, so no surgery, but her season is done while she heals. It was a fun season watching her and she did very good. Looking forward to next season being back to normal and her being on Varsity!

Opening Day!

And since it is March 1st, we had to go to our friends ice cream shop, Sweet Sensations in Holt. A little chilly, but never too cold for ice cream!

Olivia's first Varsity bowling match

Olivia got to bowl today with the Varsity during their match against Olivet. She not only beat her opponent but tied for game high! She started a little slow but once the nerves wore off she was bowling extremely well. So proud of her for showing what kind of bowler she is when she got the chance!

Olivia bowled on lane 23 in the 'B' spot. She had a higher score than everyone on Olivet's Varsity and tied for high game with one of our own girls.

This is the final Baker game and Olivia bowled the 1st and 6th frames, both strikes. She had 2/3rds of the strikes this game!

Here is the writeup for the match. Aw, yeah!

This past Saturday I took Liv up to the bowling alley for practice and she was killing it. Averaged a 171! I am so proud of her for bringing this forward for when it counted.

Here are three of Olivia's strikes from this afternoon. She was really mowing them down once she settled in and hit her mark!
