First Snow Day of 2011

The first snow of the this winter brought enough for the first snow day!  Kids made castles, did some sledding, and I made a jump for them.  Warm enough that we could really enjoy the day.

Henry Ford Museum and Mason Christmas Parade

Today my dad and I took Alex the The Henry Ford Museum.  We had a good time and he was so excited to see everything.  Came home and went to the Mason Christmas Parade where our friends Heather & Emersyn Miller were in the parade.  The Christmas season is officially here!!

Thanksgiving

Another nice Thanksgiving.  We started the day as always shooting skeet and targets.  In taking everything out back I think I created the most heavily armed Simplicity in history!  Alex and I made our countdown to Christmas poster, we chose a train this year that I had to draw and we colored.  We will peel a window off every day.  Kids love it.  My brother and sister-in-law were able to make it here, which made the day feel right.  We did crafts and watched football.  Ate way too much.  But it was a nice Thanksgiving all in all.

Emma's Birthday

Well, it was finally Emma's birthday!  We have been celebrating it forever it seems!  Anyway, we had a couple small gifts left for her and the three kids with tractors needed a portrait and play time with them.  Happy Birthday, Emma. :)

Doll's and Tractor's - Emma's 9th Birthday

Emma's 9th birthday is Tuesday so this weekend my mom and Mandy took her to Chicago so she could get an American Girl doll.  They were gone all day Saturday and most of Sunday.  They had a great time.  And since it is getting dark earlier now, we gave her my present, which is a 1974 Simplicity.  She loved it, too.  So my girl has her girlie side with her doll, and her tom-boy side with her tractor. :)

Emma's Turkey Shoot

Not what you think! :)  She got second place for third grade girls in the schools charity basketball shooting contest.  She won a huge Hershey Bar.  Takes after her dad...... :)
