Weather was awesome today and we had a great time again hanging with family and friends. Had several good tractor rides with 4 and even 5 running at the end of the day. We get lots of looks when we have our own Simplicity parade. Everything is still running after day 2 so hopefully tomorrow we get some good weather to finish off the show!
After a long two year wait we finally had a day of tractoring! It was a beautiful day and we had fun with family and friends. The Case ran good and Izzy and Olivia's tractors ran good. Since Izzy sprained her ankle at gymnastics Logan used her tractor and Olivia used hers to pull her around today. Tomorrow we will get more tractor time!
Alex had a double header tonight to finish off summer soccer. He played at 6:30 and then again at 8. He did really well. He played for both the JV and Varsity squad several times. Can't wait for the fall!
We were supposed to go to a small water park today but on the way there the alternator light came on in the van, so I got to stay home and replace that! At least everyone else got to still go using the Buick and now the van has a nice shiny new alternator.
So with Olivia ramping up for varsity bowling our friend Bob has offered to help her get into form and get a start on training for the upcoming season. He works really well with her and we are hoping she gets off to a good start when her league starts up in September.
Tonight there was a beautiful sun. I think I read it is due to the wildfires out west and they are putting in the atmosphere. I had to shoot with fast shutter speeds to capture the true red of the sun, so everything else is a bit darker. But I wanted to get the true color without Photoshop.
Tonight Alex had a good game but the boys fell to Grand Ledge. They looked off for some reason, making mistakes they don't normally make. One last game next week for the summer league, hopefully they can end on a high note!
Olivia and I went into E Lansing this evening so she could practice parallel parking as she is getting ready to take her driving test. She did awesome! She picked it up pretty quick and was an excellent student! The worst part of the experience was me getting eaten alive by the mosquitos!!
