Another football game and two touchdowns!!

Alex had another game this morning and he scored two of his teams three touchdowns!  He had two great runs.  Played his little butt off on defense, too.  His team won 18-16.

Alex's first game of 1st grade flag football

Alex played his first game of 1st grade flag football today.  So fun watching him out there.  He played good on both offense and defense.  Proud of him.  5 more games!!

Visiting Mason's Standard School (Pink School)

This one-room school house is right around the corner from us.  I have always wanted to pop in and we heard them ringing the bell today so ran over to take a peek.  The kids had fun playing teacher, ringing the bell, writing on small personal chalk boards (which apparently look like an I-pad-ha!) and of course eating the cookies and drinking lemonade.

Izzy ditches her training wheels!!!

Izzy has been asking to take her training wheels off for weeks and we finally did it, and she immediately took right off!!  So proud of her!  She fell a couple times but kept getting right back up and rode all night until bedtime.

Back to school!

A couple days late but here are the kiddos heading back to school.  A 5th, 3rd and 1st grader.  This is Emma's last year at Steele Elementary, so I put the picture of her starting kindergarten on September 2, 2008 together with the picture from September 3, 2013, to show her first 'first' day and last 'first' day at Steele.  They do grow fast!!

Jr goes Zombie killing!!

Took Alex out to my dad's today and let him shoot my 22 rifle.  I actually had to hold the forward part of the stock for him but did not help him aim or shoot.  The first picture is his first set of five aiming for the zombie's stomach, then the next picture is when he was shooting for his head!  I highlighted the holes in red to see easier.  He did very well!  Had lots of fun, too.
