After watching the World Cup Final Mandy, Abby, Olivia and Max played Pickleball. They did keep score, but I will leave it to the imagination as to who won. It was fun to watch!

Dodge Brothers back on the road
After the water pump fiasco last year I had to deal with the vacuum tank flooding on the Dodge. Garrett and I tried another tank top with a float to see if it worked, but it went from flooding to no fuel with that setup. So we soldered the float that was originally in the car and got it back in. First test run today and it was good to go for a short drive. Will give it a longer run when it isn't in the high 80's.

130,000!
Took the Tbird on an errand tonight and hit 130,000 miles. Of course, the engine, transmission, driveshaft, rear end and axles have much, much less. But still, getting up there!
A 4th of July to remember
Well, I won't forget this 4th of July weekend. Friday night, the 3rd, a storm came through around 6pm that did some pretty good damage in our area. It knocked our power out for just over 3 days. I kept the generator running to keep our fridge food good, but that meant mostly everyone else went elsewhere while I spent some time by myself. Was not a fun holiday weekend. Finally got power back last night around 9pm, and today I finished the cleanup for now.

Badlands and home!
Yesterday morning we got up in Rapid City, SD and went to the Badlands. We actually spent a good amount of time there as the kids really enjoyed seeing everything and exploring. It was great to see them taking an interest in it! It was quite a trip, with us putting over 4,300 miles on the rental! Yesterday alone we drove 1,058 to get home at 4am. Was a trip to remember.

Last Look, Needles Highway & Mt Rushmore
Today we started our journey home from vacation. We got one last look at the Tetons as we drove past them. After a long day in the car we drove the Needles Hwy, a very cool mountain road that they actually carved a single lane route through several boulders you have to drive through! We then ended our day at Mt Rushmore, but we got rained out of the lighting ceremony.
