Steele Elementary Carnival

Tonight was the kids carnival at their school.  Lots of fun, games and rides!  And of course, slushees.

Ballpark #7 - Great American Ballpark

Well, this evening was one for the books.  My dad, Alex and I went to the Great American Ballpark to watch the Reds take on the Pirates and finish off our Ohio baseball trip.  The weather did not look good and it rained the whole way in on our drive in to downtown.  It slowed up at times, but it honestly drizzled almost the entire time.  We got in the ballpark and Alex immediately ran down and got autographs from Jeff Locke, Tony Watson and Liriano Fransisco.  Three autographs!!  Alex even got to get a hold of a couple pitches in the kid area, his cast didn't slow him down very much!  The game ended up being pretty entertaining, with three home runs by the Reds!  The last one put them ahead for good in the bottom of the 7th.  I even caught a shirt fired from a cannon.  What a night.  

Wright-Patterson AFB

This afternoon we went to the National Museum of the United States Air Force.  Amazing place, so many cool aircraft.  Spent about 3 hours there and could have spent much more!  But we have a Reds game to get to tonight!

Ohio State Reformatory

Today on our way from Cleveland to Cincinnati we stopped at the Ohio State Reformatory, the prison used in "The Shawshank Redemption'.  It was extremely cool!  Not only was it just a very interesting building to see, but the walking around a building used in a major Hollywood production was pretty cool.
