Abby's Bulldogs down Holt to go 2-0

 The girls beat Holt this morning to go 2-0 in their fall season. They played well, got the lead early and held on to it. So far adapting to the bigger field very well!

Varsity draws vs DeWitt

 Mason Varsity played a very hard game against DeWitt and came out with another draw. Really wish they could find a way to punch one in against these good teams, they had so many opportunities, but they didn't lose. Alex had an amazing game saving stop with under 2 minutes to go when their striker got past our goalie and Alex kicked it out of the goal. It was a great play. Only two weeks left in the regular season.

Mason takes down Haslett

 Varsity boys took down Haslett 6-0 in a conference matchup. They scored 3 goals in the first 10 minutes and cruised from there on. 

Mason Varsity take 3rd

 Mason Varsity played in the Williamston showcase today, taking 3rd overall. They were gunning for first, so it was a little disappointing, but they played good. Alex scored in the first game and made the All Tournament team.

Abby's soccer team starts with a W

 Abby's Bulldogs opened the season this morning with a 3-0 win over Williamston. This was the girls first game on the full soccer field and 11 v 11. They played very well and it was good to get a win as they are in the top bracket again.

Another draw for the Bulldogs

 The Bulldogs just couldn't get too much working tonight. Ended up in a 1-1 draw with Williamston. We were really hoping to come out fighting to prove we were the best in the conference, but we are pretty evenly matched with them. No games until next week for the boys.

Mackinac Island

 A couple weeks ago Emma with some help from Grammy) surprised us with having organized a trip to Mackinac Island! We went up Friday night and stayed with Rich Hodgman, went to the island all day Saturday, then back to Rich's and after breakfast with Mary Deb and Dean came home. I forgot how much I missed this place. We biked around the island, went to Arch Rock and Skull Cave, did some shopping and of course bought lots of fudge! It was such a gorgeous day. It was fun having the kids there to enjoy this place that means so much to me.
