Some RC car fun

Got the RC/10 all buttoned up inside so we can have more fun with it. Izzy was really having a ball once I set up a jump and let her do burnouts in some sawdust. Not sure I'll be letting her drive a real car anytime soon... 

Karen Hodgman

Today the CV-19 pandemic hit home in a devastating and heartbreaking way. My aunt Karen, who was always a second mother to me, passed away from complications from Covid-19. This is so hard, as she was always so full of life, generosity, enthusiasm and love. She was always so giving. So many good times are flooding in my mind, from Mackinac Island, Disney, being together for special times in our lives and just making each other laugh like the time we exploded a whole party bag of M&M's she had hidden from us on her kitchen floor. It was always special when we got to go up north and see our family up there. Karen, you will be missed by many, especially me.

Some Lego class to our living room

Since it was raining today Izzy and I finished the Saturn V Lego rocket I got her. It came Wednesday so it didn't take us very long! It is just over 3 feet tall, and it was very fun to put together. It went up in our living room, along with the Lego Yoda she did last week!

Starting yard work

Started some yard cleanup today. I cut down a birch tree last fall that was dead and now we see why, it had some bacteria that was causing it to fill with water! Stump is nasty, so I get to deal with that probably this weekend!

Nice shooting!

Olivia broke out her bow and arrow yesterday for a bit and was shooting very well! I managed to video her on a near bullseye. Don't mess with her!

Enjoying the day

I was starting some yard work and I caught the girls just sitting enjoying the afternoon. We are so lucky our kids get along and each other(for the most part). Since we are being asked to keep to ourselves during the crisis it can be tough, but I have such a great family that we are doing fine and even enjoying more one on one time with each other.

CV-19 ends the school year early

Well, this is a time for the history books. The State of Michigan has actually closed the schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. This is just so strange, waiting for the movie to end. But this is our reality for now.
