A cold day of soccer!

Today it was in the low 40's with a lovely wind!  Izzy's first soccer season came to an end with a loss, but they were still 5-1-1, which is really good!  She played hard as always, and she improved so much during the fall session.  Alex's team also lost later this afternoon, but as always no one out worked him on the field.  He played well but they just came up short.

A little pumpkin carving

Did some pumpkin carving today with friends. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Kids got right in there and had fun!

Izzy gets her first goal!

Izzy got her first goal of the season today against Okemos.  They won 4-1, taking their record to 5-0-1!  Still have not lost a game!  She was so excited afterwards, it was really fun watching her enjoy it.

Izzy's soccer team beats the rain and Haslett!

This afternoon it was absolutely pouring but it didn't stop Izzy's soccer team beating Haslett and going to 4-0-1 on the season!  Izzy had a great shot on goal but the goalie got to it.  She played hard and had fun.  The girls were soaked but it's always fun when you win!

Alex gets asked to fill in for the U13 soccer team again!

With twenty minutes before game time the coach for the team a grade up called on Alex for a fill in.  Luckily we could do it, and Alex played great and even scored a goal.  It amazes me how good he is and how he can hang with kids almost two years older than him.  They beat Webberville with room to spare!

Tough day for soccer!

Izzy's game this morning went well, they tied 0-0.  So even though they didn't loss, it was their first non-win.  So they are now 3-0-1.  But played well and played very hard.  Alex's team got beat 4-0 against a very physical East Lansing.  The refs were letting them play very hard, and Alex kept his head in check but got very physical too, not backing down.  It was probably their worst game of the season, they seemed to forget a lot of their progress they had been making.  But they played hard and just came up short.

Alex's Bulldogs fall to Haslett

The boys got their first loss of the fall season, falling to Haslett.  Alex played defense the entire game, and played great, stopping several shots.  They played hard but just came up a little short.
