Ohio State Reformatory

Today on our way from Cleveland to Cincinnati we stopped at the Ohio State Reformatory, the prison used in "The Shawshank Redemption'.  It was extremely cool!  Not only was it just a very interesting building to see, but the walking around a building used in a major Hollywood production was pretty cool.

The building shot in the movie for the exterior of the hotel Brooks and Red stayed in after being paroled.

 Parole denied, Papa!!!

One of two massive cell blocks.  One was 6 stories and the other 5 stories.  They were massive.

Got them right where I want them!!

Ballpark #6 - Progressive Field

On our quest to visit every Major League ballpark we headed through Ohio today and visited Progressive Field to see the Cleveland Indians play the Kansas City Royals.  My dad came with us to make it a 3 generation tour.  Fun!  The Royals ended up winning, and we are resting up before heading out tomorrow to get to Cincinnati Monday night!

Happy 20th Birthday TBird!

Well, exactly 20 years ago today my car came off the assembly line in Lorain, OH.  So on our trip to Cleveland today we stopped by and got some photos of it near the plant it was built.  The plant is not owned by Ford anyore, and is partly vacant, but still got some cool shots of the car and where it was built 20 years prior.

 Welcome home!

The ramps that my car would have been driven up to be shipped out.

This pavilion was across the street from the plant, it has my grandpa's name on it!!

Olivia's 5th grade 'Freedom' concert

Olivia had her 5th grade spring concert tonight, a performance of 'Freedom'.  It was a nice concert, she remembered her lines, and I even coaxed a few smiles form her!

2 games for Emma this weekend

Emma had two games this weekend, both were pretty chilly!  They played hard, and the games were fun to watch as always.
