A Monday off
Well, my Monday started with a friend calling me at 3am asking to come pick up my generator because he had lost power and his crock in the basement was almost full. So my day started early. Once I saw all the snow I decided to stay home and play with the kids in it, since Emma is on spring break. We started palying and sledding but it was cut short because I had to help Julie out of our ditch. A fun day, the biggest downside was the result of the UNC-MSU basketball game. They deserve much credit for getting there, but UNC is one unbelievable team. Hopefully it warms up soon...

I love Mason
Okay, I sometimes think Mason isn't as far out of the city as it is. Sometimes I don't realize it. Then, there are times that I realize IT IS. It was small animal day at the famous store in Mason, Keans, and we went and enjoyed some small goats, rabbits, and chickens. The kids all got to hold the chickens. They had a ball, which is really all that matters. At least we got out for a bit, and with the Michigan weather helping out our propane supplier this week with snow in the forecast again, we needed to get them out. My Aunt and Uncle from Kalkaska were in town and we got to watch Michigan State beat up on UConn with them, my cousin and her family. It was a special night with MSU providing some memorable hoops. We all went out to Bennigans after church on Sunday and had good food and conversation. The we got home to Mandy's sister Julie suprising us with her presence. She is going to the Lion King at the Wharton tonight so she will stay here afterwards before heading home to Ann Arbor Monday. Looking forward to Easter, hopefully there will be a heat wave so it can reach the 40's.......

A Spring Weekend
What a weekend! High 50's on Saturday and actually touching 60 degrees on Sunday. We had to get out and do something! We got the grill out and used it both days, and there is nothing better to get you in the mood for Spring like hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. We played some soccer with my dad, went into Mason to have ice cream on the steps of the Courthouse, then went to the park to run around and play. It was nice to get out and just be outside. Hopefully it will slowly start getting warmer! This is Michigan in March though, I'm not putting the shovel away yet....

Rainy Sunday
Well, it was a rainy Sunday. Sump pump going off every hour. Fields flooding. So while Mandy did the weekly escapade to Meijer I decided to just snap a few pictures, since I did none of that in the month of February due to us all being healthy only 3 days of it. So Livy wanted a photo of her with her "B's"(Her bears that go everywhere with her) and her shooting hoops-since we were playing during the Duke-North Carolina game. Alex was playing with his beloved trains, and Emma was doing schoolwork. We were ready for a nice quiet evening when Mandy yelled at me from the kitchen because she sliced her finger open. So my dad took her off to Urgent Care and I will put the kids to bed. Hopefully she doesn't need to many stitches. What a day!

Happy 21st Jules!
We spent last night celebrating Julie's 21st Birthday. Mandy, Emma and I met Julie and the family at her apartment for pizza and cheesecake and then went to BW3's in Ann Arbor for her to meet up with some friends. Can't believe Jules is 21! Anyway, it was a brief yet enjoyable evening, except for the fact it was -10 on the temperature gauge and how fat my face looks next to Julie! What are you gonna do.

Merry Christmas - A little late
Merry Christmas everyone! It has been so crazy lately I haven't updated this thing in a while. This year I started taking a little more video so I didn't take that many pictures at Christmas, something very unusual for me! But also we are trying to emphasize the real meaning of the holiday so we are putting less of a focus on the gift giving. Which is very hard! Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season, God bless your new year.
