We had an extra day before Liv bowled so we went to the Anchor Bar for lunch, home of the Buffalo Wing, and stopped by the Pierce Arrow factory, now lofts and assorted businesses. We then shot up to Niagara Falls and it was cold and rainy. The fog blocked out most of the view. But it was still fun to visit.
In the third year of the MCCAA Baker Challenge only one team has had their name engraved on the trophy, and that name is Jackson College. The girls kept up their ownership of the trophy with a nice win back in Livonia. Next up - National Championships.
Izzy had her Conference Championship today and did very well. She almost placed in a couple events and looked really good! Next up is Regionals where she can hopefully punch a ticket to States.
Liv had quite the day today! Along with helping her team take their second Regional title in a row, she took home the Regional Single Title! She averaged 223 for her three single games and 193 for her 8 games total on the day. She also made the All-Region team. So proud of her!
Olivia and her Jets took the Regional Championship for the second year in a row! They beat second place Mid-Michigan College by over 1000 pins! It was an amazing showing today.
Liv and her Jets took the Conference Title today in Livonia. It was bowling from 9am to 6pm but worth it, as they won going away by nearly 500 pins. It was a fun day of bowling. Now on to next week to go for the Regional Title and a spot in Buffalo.
Izzy's leg is getting better and some of her limitations are being lifted. She competed on bars and beam Wednesday and bars, beam and vault on Saturday. She went to a solo practice today to work on some upcoming new skills to put into competition.
