We had a fun Christmas day. A relaxed morning with just us, then going to my brothers for lunch and gifts with my family. Played some fun games in which Izzy took home the most money. Trying to figure out how she cheated. :) Very thankful for a wonderful Christmas this year.
We had lots of fun and laughs tonight in Jackson celebrating Christmas with Mandy's parents and Ryan & Barb.
The girls beat East Lansing/DeWitt/Lansing Catholic by a single point tonight, but a win is a win! Izzy is a little beat up so Christmas break is welcomed!
Today we were in Walled Lake and the girls placed 9th out of 16 teams. Izzy also got her first medal! She placed overall in 11th, one place shy of getting an overall medal. She just keeps getting better. It was a fun day, and of course her and I had to hit the mall in Novi for some last minute Christmas shopping.
Izzy kicked off her sophomore gymnastics campaign with a solid performance today. It was our home invitational so we had to volunteer, but it worked out that I got to watch her do beam, so I got a couple photos of that. She got a career high 8.7 on floor, so that was a great way to start the season!
Today we went and got our tree. Turned out to be a little cold but still a good day to do it. Got it up and decorated. Even got Liv's train out of probably a 15 year hibernation and after oiling it up it worked great. Let Christmas begin!
