The boys fell just short of their goal of making it back to the State Finals. They were beat tonight by De La Salle in the Semi-Final. Alex played a monster game and tournament. Tonight, he was all over, even being moved to midfield where he scored their only goal of the game. That made his tally 3 goals in 6 games, not counting the PK's in shootouts. 2 of his goals were the only goals scored by Mason. I am going to really miss watching him play for Mason. I think he had a pretty good career.
Mason took down Ortonville Brandon today to capture their second Regional Title in a row! They played hard, and it didn't go to a PK shootout! Was a fun game to watch. Proud of these guys.
The boys advanced to the Regional Final on Saturday with another shootout win, this time vs Cranbrook. It was a long, hard fought game with a pretty evenly matched team. Thankfully we hit all but one PK and Mikey stopped two of theirs. What an ending.
Liv started her sophomore season today! Her first and last balls were strikes with plenty other in between. Her team hung in all day against some big schools, and it was a good first outing. It was fun to see her back out on the lanes.

What a game! The boys energy was up, but we found ourselves down 0-1 at halftime thanks to a fluke goal by DeWitt with 8 seconds left in the half. They came out strong in the second half, and with time running down Alex hit a rocket of a shot from about 25 yards out to equalize. It was incredible. We went to overtime at 1-1 and to the shootout, where Alex hit his PK and we won it. District champs for the third year in a row! DeWitt was a strong team, with their only 3 losses on the year from US!!
