The boys held until about 15 minutes to play, when they allowed a goal and then could not equalize. This was a tough Division 1 school that we held are our own with the whole game except for one play. These two games this weekend against some of the best in the State showed we still need to work, but also that we are still a championship caliber team.
Before Alex's game today I paid a visit to this place that I have always wanted to see. It was another historic building I got to check off my list! Very impressive architecture. Didn't get to see as much of the inside as I was hoping to, as they are mostly residential apartments now, but the basement, which has shops, was very cool to see. The girls got to see it later in the day, and they were impressed and a little creeped out.
The Bulldogs were handed their first loss of the season today in Traverse City facing the number 1 team in the State for Division 2 - Da Lasalle. We beat them last year in the final four on our way to the State Finals so they came out determined. We played good, but found areas to work on. But no slouching, as we are facing a tough Traverse City West team tomorrow.
Bulldogs came out hard and fast and ended the game early with an 8-0 win over the Quakers. They were even able to get some of the second string guys in and get some valuable minutes. 4th game in 8 days, all wins. Next up, two really good teams this weekend in TC, with De La Salle being ranked tops in the State in Division 2.
Mason beat Division 1 Dexter 2-0 this afternoon. Alex had two great slide tackles while maintaining possession and I managed to capture both. Fun game to watch and great to win on Alumni Day!
