NJCAA Bowling National Championships Day 1

 Today was day 1 of The Championships. Liv bowled 6 games for singles and doubles. After flirting with a 200 game several times this season she blew through the barrier today with a 212. She did good today, tomorrow starts the team games!

Bird stretches legs - AGAIN!

 Another day in the mid 60's in February! Had to get the Bird out again and take Izzy to practice.

Dog walk attempt....

 Tried taking the dogs for a walk at Aurelius Township. It went...well, it went. Winnie wanted to play and was very distracted, and Roxy wanted to get away from her. One lap was enough, but at least it was nice enough out to do it!

Abby's first indoor soccer game

 Abby played her first indoor soccer game tonight. She did good for her first time in there, as it is very different than outdoor. But it was fun to watch her back in action!

Nationals take down MI Tigers

 Nationals went to Pontiac to take on a good MI Tigers squad and got the win, 2-1. Still undefeated on the season so far with 7 wins and 1 draw.

Jets are MCCAA Baker Challenge Champs!

 The girls did awesome today! After 12 Baker games they were in second place heading into bracket play. But they bowled incredible to advance to the final and took down the number 1 seeded Mid Michigan College. Liv bowled great, getting strikes in both her frames in the final championship game. Fun day!

Alex and Nationals take Championship!

 Alex spent the weekend at a soccer tournament in Naples, FL and his Nationals won the championship for the group they were in. Bummed I couldn't be there, but from the other parents it sounds like they played very well against some tough talent.

Ramdogs finish second in CAAC

 The girls finished the season with a second place finish in the CAAC! Izzy had a great freshman year, qualifying for all 4 events for Regionals in two weeks. So proud of her first year competing. It was amazing watching her do her thing in the gym. The season went by so fast! We'll get to watch her one last time at Regionals.

Liv and the Jets are Regional Champs!

 Liv and her Jets bowlers won the NJCAA Region 12 Regional Championship today! Liv bowled all 8 games, averaging 161 and with a high game of 194 to help them qualify in first place before the Bakers, only 37 pins up. But the girls ended up smoking their rival Kellogg and won by over 200 pins. What a great day!

New wheels

 Got ourselves a new car! Buying my mom's 2019 Ford Escape as she is getting a new one. This will help so much as we are just putting on so many miles on our cars. Hope to get many years out of this one!

Izzy toughs it out in Walled Lake

 Izzy was a question mark today for her meet in Walled Lake. She felt terrible and was so tired. She slept through warm ups and then went out there and did a good vault and bars, then fell asleep again before going and doing a good beam routine. Proud of her for fighting through feeling crappy and still performing!

Liv does great, Jets fall in Livonia

 Bad news, Jets got their first defeat today in a tournament in Livonia, coming up just short in second. Liv had a pretty incredible day, however. In early games she had a 197 and a 198, then completely lit it up in the Baker games, bowling all 8 and only having a couple open frames! A couple videos are below. So proud of her to come through under pressure! Barb and Elizabeth and Julie and Andrew came by for support, also. My photo of everyone did not turn out but below is at least Liv and Elizabeth.

 A couple videos of some strikes from todays tournament in Livonia. The atmosphere was awesome and Liv really lit it up, especially in the Bakers!

I had to!!

 It was over 60 degrees in early February with no salt left on the roads so I had to take Izzy to practice in the TBird! Only a couple of months until she is out for the summer.

Ramdogs take on Grand Ledge

 The Ramdogs travelled to Grand Ledge tonight and got the win. Izzy had a great night, got really good scores and got her first no-fall beam routine of the season. Fun night!
