New Years Eve Bowling

 Had fun with the family bowling on New Years Eve. Not everyone bowled, but at least everyone was there. Did the early session and then went to Pat and Kristina's to watch the ball drop.

Sports mileage

 Final tally is in for miles I drove for sports this year. Izzy wins first prize, but soccer wins for sports!

Christmas 2023

 We had a nice Christmas morning opening gifts. The kids pretty much knew everything they were getting, but we were able to surprise each one with something they didn't know about. My family came over for the big lunch, and with it almost 50 outside we were able to be out a little with Alex trying out his new backboard. Izzy tackled putting their makeup desk together and did an awesome job! We will do the doors for the base tomorrow, it was a long day.

Christmas Eve at the Hoffmans

 Spent Christmas Eve at the Hoffmans for dinner and gift exchange. Barb organized a very fun game for both the adults and kids, and we had a good time visiting and eating with family!

Dad and I go to the Air Zoo

 I took today off thinking the kids would be home but they didn't get the day off. So I asked dad to go to the Air Zoo instead! Got see some of our old favorites and some new items also. Since we had been their last they had acquired an F117 Nighthawk and a Saturn V F-1 engine. First time seeing an F117 up close! Got to speak with one of the men who restore aircraft, and we talked to him for about an hour. He even let us turn over a radial engine by hand. A very cool day! 

Alex Gets LSJ Player of the Year

 Alex was awarded the LSJ Player of the Year! Pretty amazing the attention he is getting for such an outstanding season on the field. His dedication and work ethic has made it possible.

Christmas cookies with the Howes

 Lots of laughing and very interesting cookies crafted during our Christmas cookie night with the Howes! We even somehow ended up with some bloody, impaled gummi bears on  cookie! 

Izzy keeps improving at Walled Lake

 Today was the Walled Lake Invitational and Izzy did really good! She was awesome on bars and beam, and was really fun to watch on her floor routine. It was a long day but worth getting to watch her compete. We even finished some Christmas shopping at Twelve Oaks on the way home.
