Saturday and Sunday Garrett and I got quite a bit done. We finished up the shower plumbing (supply) and got the wall and ceiling drywall put up. We also went and got a new washer as ours had finally had it. Sunday I tore out the closet that enclosed the washer and dryer. Hoping it gives a more open feel and more natural light to the room. We will have to figure out what to do about storage.
Olivia bowled in her last state singles tournament today. She did not have the day she was hoping for, but after starting out slow and being in 38th place after 3 games, she clawed back to 24th with the help of a 213 game in game 5. So proud of her for not giving up and trying hard even though she knew she was not going to advance. Love her fight. She has States next Friday, and then she will be done.
Olivia and her Bulldogs made it through Regionals today to make another run at a 4th straight State Finals match next weekend. Olivia did well, scoring a 196 in her second game. I am glad they are not done yet! Tomorrow is qualifying for singles.
The girls beat DeWitt tonight for Olivia's final match for Mason. They ended their season with an overall 14-2 record and 10-2 in conference play. They shared the CAAC Red Division title. Not a bad showing. Liv had a really good game with 5 strikes in a row, narrowly missing a 200 game. on to Regionals!
Now that conference play is over here are Olivia's stats. Averaged 160 this year, not bad!
I can't wait for next year! Izzy's gymnastics team is doing very good this year. Next year when she is a freshman she will finally be able to compete. I cannot wait to see her out there after she has been practicing with them for the past 3 years.
Another kid hits the road. Alex past his test last night and took off on his first solo drive today!
The girls took down Lansing Catholic today to guarantee a share in the Division Title. Liv helped the cause with a 186 and a 179 in her two games. They finish their conference schedule at 10-2, with their only two losses against Division 1 Holt.
Olivia had her senior night for Mason Bowling. I absolutely cannot believe she is almost done bowling for Mason, but it was fun celebrating her and two other seniors' achievements and honoring them for all their hard work representing their school. Plus, Liv won both her points and the girls won the match. Tomorrow will be their final conference matchup against Lansing Catholic.
Olivia made a couple fun spares that I caught on video today versus Fowlerville. The second video is her final ball at City Limits bowling for Mason.
The girls swept Eaton Rapids this season with their win tonight. They have a very busy week ahead of them so good to get off to a good start!
If there are Lane gods we must have done something to really irritate them! Liv and several other girls really struggled tonight, with Liv bowling her low game for the year and two of her teammates getting a 101 and a 103! Luckily we still got enough points to win, which is what matters, but it wasn't pretty.
