Bulldogs picked to repeat as champs in CAAC

 The Lansing State Journal picked the Bulldogs to repeat as CAAC Red champs this season, hopefully they can follow through! Alex got mentioned!

A fun couple of days

 School starting back up wasn't enough fun so Monday decided to have a storm hit us that knocked out the power for about 36 hours. Just long enough to disrupt the beginning of the week. The generator did awesome, luckily I replaced the carburetor this summer or we would have been hurting.

Bulldogs win 5-0 over St johns

 The boys have taken some lumps playing against Division 1 teams and very good Division 2 teams so far this season, but they played their first conference matchup tonight against St Johns and won 5-0. They played very well and were creating on offense. A good start to conference play!

And...they're off!

 First day back to school for 2022-23. 12th, 10th, 8th and 6th grades!

Back to school shopping

 Last day of the summer for the kiddos! We took them to Novi and got last minute new school clothes for them. I think they made out pretty good....

Riverview Tournament

 Today we went to Riverview (one stop from the Detroit River) and played two hard games. We tied 2-2 in the first match against Grosse Pointe North, unfortunately losing 3-2 in PK's. The second match the boys just did not look motivated and even a little sluggish, dropping it 0-2 to Monroe.

Fought to a 2-2 tie against Marshall

 Tonight we went to Marshall and fought very hard for a 2-2 tie. We were missing 2 of our 3 seniors so to battle to a draw was a very good result.

A tough game against Brother Rice

 This evening the boys went to Bloomfield Hills to play a very tough Brother Rice squad. They made it to the semi-finals last year in Division 2 and we can see why. They beat us 4-0 and were in control pretty much the whole game. We put up a fight, but they were strong at every position.

Another close loss against Holt

 Another good game against an all-senior team. Played straight up until the 68th minute when Holt got one in. We are playing much better than last year, but still have to find a way to get the ball into the net. Good competitive game, though.

Tough loss against East Lansing

 Tonight the Bulldogs went up against a tough, senior-filled East Lansing squad and played them to a 0-0 tie until the final 2 minutes when East Lansing had luck go their way and they scored. It was an excellent game and was hard to accept the last minute goal. But the boys can hold their heads up high as they took this top notch program and played with them.

Nath week!

 This past week we got a visit from the Nath's! And Wednesday through today we had Rachel and Danielle with us. Unfortunately, I was working so I missed out on most activities. Here are a couple photos the kids took from the visit.

Mason beats up on Harbor Springs

 Bulldogs played two scrimmages today against Gaylord and Harbor Springs. I was helping finish up a project for a friend so I missed their first game in which they beat Gaylord 4-0. Alex scored, so I was disappointed about missing it. However, the boys made up for it against Harbor Springs, beating them 7-0! And Alex scored again, on a corner kick in which he inbound the ball and it curved into the goal surprising the goalie. It was cool and raining but so worth it!

East Lansing scrimmages

 Mason had scrimmages today with three different teams in East Lansing. I was able to go to 2 of the games and they won one and lost one. It was a packed house at the complex with teams from all over the state.
