Some Memorial Day fireworks

 Today was Memorial Day and we did chores around the house but went over to my brothers to do a little shooting, too. Had some fun slinging lead and making some noise. Everyone shot good!

Biggest ride yet!

 Today I went for a 25 mile bike ride. My longest to date. I have ridden 964 miles so far this year, since early March. Not bad!

Spencer's openhouse

 Yesterday we ran up to Kalkaska to see my cousins for the first time on way too long. Spencer is graduating and it was a great reason to go up ad visit for a bit. We need to go up for a longer visit very soon.

Weekend project done!

 Got the kids on their Simplicity tractors to help me move all the woodchips and get one small area done! I need to go back and get more woodchips to finish the front and extend the side a little farther. But I am happy with the results for today!

Weekend Projects - Getting Ready!

 With it being the first weekend this spring without 4 or 5 soccer games to go we can finally do some spring yard work! Got a little done/prepped tonight. I got several low hanging branches cut down and taken care of in the front yard. I started cleaning up the corner area so that the woodchips I got this afternoon can be put down. Hope to get alot done tomorrow!

Last day of school for Emma

Emma's Steele reunion

 Emma met up with her Steele Elementary classmates last night for a reunion at the school. Lots showed up, wish I could have been there. Sounds like they had a great time and saw old friends. This graduating from High School is getting too real.

Retiring as coach

 Today was my last game coaching this kid. Both glad he will get the coaching he deserves in high school now and sad my time coaching him is done. Glad I got to do it and spend the time with him.

Alex's primary U15 team goes to 7-0

 Alex's primary U15 team beat Owosso 3-0 today to go to 7-0 on the season. They played very well, even when it started raining hard. This was my last game coaching Alex. He has one more game to go but it is the same time as Emma's graduation. So this was it for me. It has been quite a fun adventure.

Abby gets her first goal!

 Abby got her first goal today in her game against Ovid Elsie! They handled them pretty good beating them 8-0. It started raining pretty good but the girls played through it and got the win. One more game to go in the spring session!

Alex ends the season with his secondary soccer team

 The first of three games today was Alex's final game with the secondary U15 team. He helped them secure a 4-4 time against LSC to finish 3-4-1 in this final session for him. He scored 2 goals and helped stop their best offensive player. 

Day 2 Royal Scot Jr Gold Bowling Tournament

 This morning Olivia had her final round of the Jr Gold tournament at Royal Scot. She got to bowl with her friends and fellow Bulldog bowlers Jonathon and Adam. She averaged a 134 for her 4 games and it was good seeing her so consistent with her overall scores. A fun weekend of bowling!

6-0 for U15 Bulldogs

 This afternoon was a tense enough game I wasn't really able to concentrate on photos. Our boys ended up winning 2-0 against Okemos in their final game at Meridian North, a park I am glad he will neve have to play at again! It is small and the boys just rarely seem to be on their A game when there. But they have won the last 3 times they have played there so all is good!

Day 1 Royal Scot Jr Gold Bowling Tournament

  This morning we were at Royal Scot by 8am for Olivia's bowling tournament. She bowled 8 games during the all day event and averaged 135 on very difficult patterns. Overall she did awesome. For the first shift she even brought her lucky charm, Izzy! 4 more games tomorrow morning!
