A walk with the Hoffmans

This afternoon we took a break from chores to go for a walk with Mandy's parents. Such a beautiful weekend!

Beautiful night for a drive

Last night was a beautiful night to just go for a drive in the Bird. We ended up at the Greathouses and Mandy got to try their new hot tub while Garrett and I played in the polebarn.

Memorial Day weekend fun

Even though we are still essentially in a lockdown due to the pandemic we did manage to get out a little and enjoy some of the weekend. It is wonderfully hot and humid so doing too much outside isn't really happening. But we were able to spend time with family and friends and get a little work done, too.

Finally! The Bird is done....mechanically

I have the car almost 10 years now and finally the upgrades/big maintenance items are done now that the exhaust is on. I'll add an underside photo later. It has a nice rumble to it but it is not loud or obnoxious. The only thing left is to get it painted and the seals around the windows taken care of. Waited a long time for the mechanical stuff, hopefully next year the paint will get done!

Izzy gets the Promise Scholarship!

We were notified the other day Izzy was nominated for the Promise Scholarship from LCC for two years on scholarship! So proud of her! 

Our Covid Mothers Day

Mothers Day was something else different due to the pandemic. We went down and visited(mostly in the driveway) with Mandys parents and the Cahalans. We finally got to see the newest addition to the family, Julie's son Andrew, after 2 months. On the way home we stopped by my moms apartment for a few minutes. It was a cold and rainy day but we tried to make the most out of being stuck indoors the rest of the time.

Happy 24th!

The annual birthday cupcakes for the TBird! It was built in Lorain, OH on this day back in 1996. Saving so the paint can get done next year for the 25th!

8 weeks at home!

We are nearing the end of our 8th week at home now. These are just some photos from the past week, cleaning the yard, goofing around, Izzy ad Abby cleaning Olivia's roof, the snake and snapping turtle we found while cleaning the pond, and Abby watching an eNascar race from a clothes hamper. 8 weeks! unreal. 

A fun walk and campfire

Yesterday we went to Burchfield Park and had a great walk! It was a beautiful afternoon. Olivia, Izzy and Abby went with us and we had a great time with them. In the evening we 'finally' had a fire since the kids are constantly asking for one! A very nice night for a fire.

Some RC fun at my brothers new track

Got to spend a little time with my brother today racing our RC cars at his new track. They have come a long way in 25 years! Had a great time, I need new tires then I'll be back!
