Tonight we got together with the Greathouse and Lator families. I did miss bowling as we have done for so many years but with Covid still going on we were not able to do it. It was fun to hang out with friends though and everyone enjoyed themselves. Gladly saying goodbye to 2020.
Yesterday we went down to Jackson to get together with the Hoffmans again. Spent most of the day there and 4 of the cousins came back home with us for a sleepover.
Well, it was a different kind of Christmas but at least it started out with a wonderful surprise of snow. The kids were excited! Not enough to play in, but at least we got a White Christmas. Kids had fun opening their gifts and we hung out all day and we helped Mandy make a very nice dinner. Very grateful for the people under this roof. Love them all!
Today we went to Jackson to celebrate Christmas with Mandy's parents and the Naths, then with my family. Definitely a weird Christmas, but at least we were all able to get together for a bit.
Bowling alley's opened up yesterday(without food service) so I took Olivia, Alex, Izzy and Abby to kill some time and get Olivia some time on the lanes. Trying to find some things to do on Christmas Break!
Two night ago(I'm a little behind) Izzy, Abby and I went down the road to view the 'Christmas Star', which is Saturn and Jupiter getting very close to each other(from our view). The clouds rolled in pretty quick and the best view for us(last night) was completely clouded. So we did get a decent view(could see Saturn's rings!) but hopefully tonight we can try again.
Last night Olivia and Abby took on Isabelle and Hayden with Gingerbread House making. Both were good, but it ended in a tie until Roxy picked Olivia and Abby's. Both were good and creative.
Had a fun day today with Olivia going to Ft Wayne, IN for a bowling tournament. It was so good to see her back out on the lanes in competition. She did good for being out of action for the past 9 months! She ended with a 720 series for 6 games, averaging an even 120. Her game was 157. Just so good to see her out there doing well and having fun. Her teammate Kyra was there also which made it even more fun.
