A very soggy game against Bath!

The girls scored a goal today but couldn't pull off a win against Bath. They did have fun playing in the miserable conditions, though!  They were timid at first but when they realized they were going to get soaked regardless they got into it a bit more. A fun afternoon of soccer!

Boys fight hard for 4-3 win vs Eaton Rapids

The boys had to fight hard today against Eaton Rapids to get the win. The Greyhounds ran a half field trap which our boys really struggled with. But they overcame it and outdid them at their own game to get the win. Alex had an assist and played great.  They are 4-1 on the season now!

U15 Bulldogs get a win under the lights

The boys got a win in a special game under the lights at Mason's varsity field against East Lansing tonight.  They won 4-1 and Alex continued his streak to 4 games with a goal and also an assist.  They looked much better than Saturday's game, now on to their 3rd game in a week this Saturday!

Bulldogs fall to Jackson

Alex's soccer team got their first loss of the fall season, falling to Jackson 3-1.  Alex did get a goal, but it wasn't enough.  Even though he went down in the first half after taking a knee to the thigh he came back in and played his guts out. He always does.

Olivia gets her 2nd '200' game!

Olivia bowled a 201 this morning, the second time she has broken the 200 mark!  It still amazes me how far she has come, and I have loved watching her get better!

Abby gets an assist!

Abby had a Thursday night game and got her first assist!  The girls played their best game so far but still fell to Grand Ledge.  Seeing improvement!

A Dodge family photo shoot

A friend of mine is taking over the 4th of July car show here in Mason and she wanted some promotional photos for next year. So she wanted her Challenger used and what better than to get an older relative in there, too? 91 years separate these two, but they look pretty good together.

Abby's team gets closer!

Abby got to be captain today for her game against DeWitt. They played hard but fell to the Panthers. It may be a long season, with most of our girls being first time players, but they are trying! Abby played really hard. Proud of her!

A good Saturday morning!

This morning MSC took it to Grand Ledge and won 8-1!  Alex got a hat trick late in the second half after switching to defense after scoring two early goals.  His team played very well. Olivia killed it while bowling 6 games, getting a 419 and 411 series.  She average 138 for her six games this morning! 

Fall sports kickoff!

What a fun weekend.  Olivia started off the weekend with a good game of bowling, improving with her new ball. She is working on several things but doing very well. Alex was next up and his team played very good against Clinton, winning 5-2.  Alex had 2 goals and was so excited to play he couldn't sleep the night before. Abby played her first competitive soccer game Sunday, against a very good Okemos team. She played hard and did well, but couldn't pull out the win.

 

Cadillac with the Greathouses

For Labor Weekend we went to Cadillac, MI wit the Greathouses and had a great weekend. Weather was awesome and we got to do some kayaking, archery, fishing, and there was even a great car show there. A fun way to say goodbye to summer 2019!
