Olivia gets a new ball!

Olivia has been working with the varsity bowling coach all summer, and last night he suggested her get a new ball for when the high school season starts. So we got her a new ball, a 14 pounder!  Going to have to get her to the lanes so she has some practice with it before the season starts.

Back to school!

Well, its back to school again!  Emma started 11th, Olivia 9th and Alex 7th grade today.  Wow.  Emma even drove them all to school!  Izzy started 5th grade and Abby 3rd.  This was Izzy's final 'first day' at Steele Elementary.  Not excited about that at all! Hope they have a great year!

Baby mouse

This morning Abby found a baby mouse in the yard. She spent all day trying to feed it, making sure it was safe. She even tried to make it a little house in a shoebox. She is the cutest, Abby, not the mouse.

Holland with the Hoffmans

This weekend was the Hoffman camping trip. We went to Holland and spent most of the time at the beach. Kids had a riot, and even though the weather looked threatening several times we ended up getting out dry. It was a fun weekend with the family.

Barcelona vs Napoli

Tonight Alex and I went to see his favorite club, Barcelona play at the Big House. We went last year but when they announced Barsa would be there this year we had to go. Even though his favorite player, Messi, decided not to play, we still had a great time watching the team. And since they won 4-0 it was quite a fun game!

Abby's 3rd soccer game

Abby played great this morning and they won 3-1.  She keeps improving and getting more aggressive to be involved in the game. So fun to watch!

Izzy helps cover our septic tank

We covered our septic access last night, and Izzy helped with her tractor.  It's nice when you can turn chores into a little fun.

Saturday evening I was summoned to water coming into our utility room. Apparently our septic system had a plug in it and we ended up having to stay with fiends Saturday and Sunday night, and can finally once again use our house on Monday!  Homeownership...so fun.

Getting the Dodge ready

I made up my mind to get the Dodge running for the local Darrell's Market car show. Replaced the fuel filter and she was off and running. Livy and Alex helped me wash her up and I drove about 25 miles in the afternoon and she drove great! Picked up Abby at a friends house and we had a great drive!  But the car show was not meant to be.....

Yep, Roxy goes absolutely nuts with the hose, jumping and trying to bite the water drops. Yep.

Abby's 2nd soccer game

Abby had a great 2nd game!  She was more aggressive and played better than her first time out. It was great seeing her improve from game to another. Can't wait for next week!
