Spring Break Day 2

Today we made it to our cabin after some fun traffic delays. But we made it in time to watch the Spartans beat Duke for a trip to the Final Four!  The cabin looks fun, and we are looking forward to a fun week with the kids away from normal life.

Spring Break Day 1

Today we started our Spring Break 2019 adventure. We decided to take two days to get to Pigeon Forge so we could have a half day of travel and be at our cabin when it was available at 4 tomorrow. We stopped at the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum and did some swimming at our hotel. Good start!

Some spring park fun

It was so nice out today we went to the park and Izzy and Abby rode their bikes and Alex ran and played with Roxy. Hopefully there are more days like this coming!

Abby helping change oil

This afternoon Abby helped me change the oil in her tractor getting it ready for summer duties. She did awesome!

Indoor soccer ends with a doubleheader

The boys ended their indoor season with a 1-1 tie and a 5-4 win over Eaton Rapids this afternoon. I love watching him play, but I have to say I'm anxious to watch them play outdoor again. Indoor is just a different game. Alex is really looking forward to getting back outside. 

Teaching Roxy to fetch

This afternoon Alex was teaching Roxy to fetch, so she actually can bring the ball back to us when we throw it to her!  It's working...slowly!

An awesome bowling season!

Olivia had her bowling banquet this morning and brought home three trophies! The first was for 6th place in her league, highest handicap game(289) and most improved average through the season(+14). She also had perfect attendance. So proud of her and her accomplishments!

A cold, wet scrimmage

Emma had a scrimmage in Dexter this evening, it rained the entire time! They have three weeks of practice before their first game, I'm excited to watch them this spring!

Roxy welcomes in Spring

This dog absolutely loves the outdoors.  She will run and play until we bring her in and then cry to back out. Need to get her a leash to tie her up outside on!

Emma back on the Pitch

After being out of soccer for two years Emma decided to try out for JV Soccer, and she made the team. Today they played their first games at GVSU in a two game scrimmage. It was so good seeing her back out there playing, I did miss it. They lost both games but played hard in both and were tight games.

Olivia's 8th grade dance

Olivia had her 8th grade dance tonight, she looks so grown up and beautiful!



Mason beats Lansing Soccer Club 5-1

The boys got back to it after a weekend off and beat LSC 5-1 today. They looked good and played well!

Mommy has a new ride

Yesterday we went and purchased a new family van.  The Honda Odyssey will be for the family, while our old Dodge van will be Emma's first car!  She is soooo excited....yeah.
