Labor Day fire

Tonight we had Mandy's parents up for dinner and a fire. It was a beautiful night!

Back to school!

Kids went back to school today!  It is Alex's first day of middle school, so now we only have two in elementary school! Ugh, they are growing up fast.

Lincoln Park Zoo & Navy Pier

Yesterday we popped over to Chicago to hit the Lincoln Park Zoo and Navy Pier.  It was hot and muggy but we had a great time. The city was alive as both the Bears and Cubs were playing and won.  A fun day!

Helping out a neighbor

Our neighbor was not able to mow lately so I offered to help out, while it also gave Alex more practice mowing.  Win-Win!

Grab your water pistols!

Mandy, Ryan and Alex got into a water gun fight this afternoon.  They had a blast, but we need bigger water guns!

As good as it gets...for now!

With the help of a couple of the Simplicity's I got the mounded clay/mud/sand hauled away and leveled.  Just waiting for them to come back and trench the new well utilities over to the old well and hook it up to the house.

Well fun

Today I spent about an hour starting the cleanup from our new well being drilled. More homeownership fun.
