Barely beat the rain and E Lansing

Tonight the U13 boys played E Lansing and won 1-0.  It was a fun game and we just beat a storm out.

2 more soccer games

Alex had 2 more games today and he played well, they lost one and won the other. After playing 5 games in 4 days I think we are ready for a little break, he will play his last 2 games in two weeks, so we have Memorial Day weekend off!

2 soccer games, 2 wins & 2 goals!

Alex played in 2 rainy soccer games today but he and the teams he plays with played great.  Both got wins.  He got a goal in each and as always played awesome.  They played Thursday night and he got taken out when someone kicked his knee, but it didn't seem to bother him too much today, which is good, as he has two more games tomorrow!

The pond has taken a ton of time cleaning this spring but when the waterfall is running and you can hear the rushing of water, it is so relaxing!

Alex scores a hat trick vs Hillsdale!

In one of the worst conditions to play in this afternoon Alex helped the U13 Bulldogs defeat Hillsdale with 3 goals!  The first half was a downpour and he scored a goal to put Mason up 2-1. After a thunder delay of 30 minutes the weather cleared up some and he scored another 2 goals in the second half to help with the win.  It was worth getting soaked to watch this one!

Happy Birthday Peanut Butter Cookies

My T-Bird came off the Lorain, OH assembly line 22 years ago today, so naturally we celebrated with some peanut butter cookies!

Alex gets a hat trick between his two games

Alex played in two games today, back to back.  One with the U13 team and one for his normal U12 team.  He had 2 goals in the first game and one in the second, played outstanding at goalie, making a couple great saves, and was fun to watch.  

Izzy represents Mason at Lugnuts Game

Izzy was nominated by her teachers to represent Steele Elementary and Mason Schools for the Michigan Education Association.  She got to get some autographs and walk the field before the Lugnuts game tonight.  What an honor!

Alex does awesome at the Mason 5k!

Alex ran in the Mason 5k tonight and finished with a 22:55!  He improved quite a bit from last year, and finished 3rd for all boys 12 and under and 28th overall!

Got the Bird out today

She isn't road worthy yet(no insurance and haven't renewed the plate) but it was past time to get the T-Bird out and wash it and get the engine good and warm.  I need to get behind the wheel...soon.
