Olivia's end of the season bowling banquet

This morning was Olivia's bowling banquet.  Got her medal and her certificate for perfect attendance!  That is a big deal considering it is a 23 week season!  She had a very good year and we have to keep her practicing for the Pepsi State Tournament she qualified for in Muskegon this May!

Alex's basketball finale

Alex's final day of Connect basketball was a double header.  And the boys played awesome.  They were playing together like a true team.  They outscored their opponents by a combined 106-58 and they were having so much fun.  Alex couldn't miss in the second game, hitting everything.  And his defense is always great, and he had 8 blocks in the two games.  He plays so hard and gives it everything, I love watching him, and all my kids play sports.  Congrats on a great season Alex, proud of you!

Izzy's last basketball game

Izzy played her last basketball game this afternoon and did incredible. She had 3 baskets, played intense defense, shutting one of their best players down, and had a steal at the end of the game to help seal the victory!  She has come along so far in her first season, getting so much more self confidence!  And her smile when they won the game is pure joy.  Proud of you Izzy!

Abby's last basketball game

Abby had her last kindergarten basketball game this morning, and she saved the best for last!  She played awesome defense and scored 3 baskets!  She has grown so much!  She got to play against her friend Logan and it was fun watching them mess around with each other.  Proud of you Abby!

Some half day snow fun

The kids had a half day of school today for conferences and Izzy and Abby decided to go outside and make a snow fort.  They were having such a great time!  It was fun watching them and listening to them while they played.

Basketball - Week 7

Had some fun basketball games today.  Started with Abby, who is getting more aggressive every week and looking great!  Then Izzy played and did so great on defense, she is starting to come in to her own playing.  Then we finished it off with Alex playing a doubleheader and getting two wins.  He played great, even having a couple assistant coaches helping in his final game of the day.

Our last Pistons game at the Palace

Tonight Alex got his final Christmas present and he and I went to the Pistons/Bulls game at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  Since they are moving to downtown Detroit next year we got to go to a game in the farewell season to the Palace and the Joe with our Redwings game in December!  Very cool.  Pistons won and we got to see Denzel Valentine play some good minutes.  We had a great time.

Izzy plays tough!

Well, somehow Isabelle got stuck guarding the other team's biggest player today!  But she played really hard, dribbled around all the time, and even got a couple rebounds against her!  She played very well, and was really excited after the game was over. Way to be tough!
