Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2016!  Abby was quite the hit at her school today, and we had a great time tonight!  Abby made it through the first hour and then Mandy had to take over, it was kind of hard for Abby to walk.  But we had fun and I think the kids looked great!

A great soccer day!

Today both Emma and Alex won their soccer games!  Unfortunately I could not be at Emma's game since I coach Alex, and his game was in St Johns.  Really bummed I missed it, her team has struggled and it was their first win in over a year.  So happy for them.  Alex's team got their second win and he scored a goal, and my dad was able to get a couple shots of him.  Very grateful that he and Emma have been able to get some photos of him, as it is fun coaching but I really miss taking pictures.  All in all a great soccer day!

Olivia - 6th grade Student of the Month!

Olivia was awarded Student of the Month this morning for 6th grade.  So proud of her!  She is working hard at school and she has done a great job adjusting to being a middle-schooler!

Abby's Halloween costume is ready!!

I finished making Abby's costume tonight, she wanted to be R2D2(or RD2D as she says it) and I couldn't stand the cheap costumes they had available.  So A trip to Lowe's and several more to our local Ace Hardware and ta-da!!  Hopefully it holds together!

This is why I love watching Alex play.  Any sport.  He gives it his absolute everything.  He was cramping bad today, but he was a monster on the field.  He scored his teams two goals and probably covered 5 miles by the time he was done.  I just love watching his passion and effort.  Proud dad!!

A long wait until May...

Got the oil changed, fuel additive and gassed up the Thunderbird for winter storage today.  Hate putting it away but that's what keeps it from being abused by the Michigan winters!!

Michigan State Midnight Madness

Tonight Emma, a friend of hers Mackenzie, Olivia and I went to the Spartan's Midnight Madness.  It was a blast.  I have never been but we may have to do it every couple of years.  Got some autographs and saw some basketball action!

Country Mill with friends and family

This afternoon we went to the Cider Mill with my side of the family and the Greathouses.  It was perfect weather, and the cider and donuts were perfect.

Played hard but lose to LSC 3-4

Mason played very hard but fell to Lansing Soccer Club 3-4.  Alex played goalie in the first half and scored a goal in the second half.  Proud dad moment, after Alex was put in as forward in the second half after a few minutes the opposing coach kept screaming for his boys to cover our best player, number 10.  Yep, that's Alex.  He plays so hard and is so good, it is so much fun watching him.
